Hello bookish friends!
It’s that time of the month where I talk to you about the books I read, but also the time when I start to hyperventilate because 2019 is almost over! I always say this, but where did the year go?! How can we be in the last month of the year?! Oh my god.
Anyway, let’s talk about books. I only managed to read four books in November, which is not bad, but I think I could’ve done better. I’m still happy with my reading choices tho.
The Nevernight Chronicle Series by Jay Kristoff
I wanted to read this book for so long, but I waited for Darkdawn to be released so I could binge read the series. I liked the story a lot, but I also suffer too many times to count. However, when reading the three books, there were moments in them where I felt like nothing was really happening and I got the feeling that the story was going nowhere. Other than that, it was a good story and I recommend it to anyone interested in it. Some trigger warnings I can think about are death, murder and slavery.
Rating for the series: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
The Day He Came Back by Penelope Ward
This is a second-chance romance and it was good. I was looking for something light that could keep me entertained for a few days and this book did just that. There were some moments in the book where I rolled my eyes because it felt all too much, but I couldn’t stop reading, I was obsessed. I recommend it to anyone that likes romance or is looking for something light to read.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆
November was not one of my best months reading wise, but it wasn’t the worst either. The most important thing here is that I enjoy what I’m reading, everything else is just a second thought.
Did you enjoy your November reads?
Until the next post!
Happy reading 💙
I need to start the nevernight series
