Hello everyone!
This post might be a surprise if you’ve been following me on Twitter/Instagram for awhile. I’m a mood reader, like super mood reader so I don’t participate in readathons that often nor I make monthly TBRs because I rarely stick to them. But when I saw a tweet saying something about a Percy Jackson readathon I was like “I can’t miss this!”
I love Percy Jackson, those books are one of my favorites and having a readathon based on that amazing world of Greek gods and demigods, it feels like a dream. I suck at explaining things, so here’s the video announcement in case you’re interested. (Here’s the link to the video, too)
Like it was explained in the video, one has to choose a team. I was torn between Poseidon because he is my Godly parent, but I didn’t like the prompts for that team lol. My second favorite Greek god is Hades and the prompts for his team are amazing so I’m on team Hades! Yay!

These are my mandatory challenges and the books I’ll be reading to fulfill them.
The Ghost King: Read a book featuring the undead.

I chose this book because it is about vampires and vampires are undead. I’ve heard mix reviews about this one so I’ll try to go into it without expectations.
Bring a book back from the dead by reading something you have already read before.

Choosing a book for this prompt was difficult because there are a lot of books I want to reread but Vicious is one of my favorites and now that I have a physical copy of it, I want to tab it. This feels like the perfect opportunity.
The underworld is a dark and dreary place. Read a book with a dark cover.

What I like about this book is the cover and I’ve been meaning to read it for a long time now. The cover is not completely dark, but I think the black in the background counts lol.
Death comes randomly and without warning. Choose a book from your TBR at random.

I made a list of only 30 books and since I couldn’t decide, I asked my brother to pick a number for me. Sometimes having a sibling is helpful. Anyway, I’m excited to read this because the third book is coming out in June, I think, and this is also going to be a Netflix tv show. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.
Hermes is the only Olympian free to visit the underworld. Complete a prompt that honors Hermes: Caduceus. Read a book with a snake on the cover.

I wanted to put this book for the dark cover, but I also wanted And I Darken there. Then I remembered this prompt and so I have both books in my TBR. Anyway, I’ve heard good things about this book so I’m excited to get to it.
That’s it for my mandatory challenges. However I’m not sure I’ll have time to complete the advanced challenges, but I already chose the books for those just in case. My advanced challenges are:
Sword & Shield: A book featuring a character whom you would not get along with.

I chose this book because the protagonist works for the devil and I get scared easily so because of who her boss is, I think I wouldn’t get along with her.
Monster Fighting: A book featuring magical creatures.

As far as I know, this is kind of a retelling or something about magical creatures so I think it fits this prompt perfectly. Also, this has been in my TBR since I heard about it when it was released and I have yet to read it. This is the perfect opportunity to do it. (If I finish the mandatory challenges before the months ends).
Honestly I’m not sure I’ll be able to read all of those books and I’m not even sure I’ll stick to this TBR lol. As I mentioned before, I’m a mood reader, so there’s the possibility of me changing some books from this list as the month goes by.
Anyway, I’m super excited to be participating in this readathon!
Until the next post!
Happy reading đź’™
