Wrap Up

It was my birthday! | October Wrap Up

Hello beautiful creatures!

Can you believe we’re like two months away from 2021?!?! Where did 2020 go?!?! Anyway, I love October so I’m not that mad that it went by so damn fast. And before I go into another mild crisis, let’s get to this month’s wrap up!

First, I’ll tell you a bit of what happened in my life in October and then I’ll tell you all about the books I read this past month. I hope you enjoy!

I can’t remember if there were any interesting things happening to me this month, everything was eclipsed by my birthday! YAY! I love my birthday but I don’t like getting older, like give me all the presents and attention, but let me be young forever!

I spent the day with my family. My mom ordered a cake Mario Bros inspired, it was pretty and delicious, pretty delicious lol. I also asked to make a little trip to the beach because I was missing the ocean and the sand and just the vibes you get from the beach so yeah, I went to the beach and almost died because it was so hot and we had to wear the face mask and I felt like I wasn’t breathing enough, it was fun tho haha.

I also bought lots of books. I didn’t buy any physical books since the pandemic got here, in March, so I had some money saved and I just spent most of it. If you want to know which books I bought, here‘s my birthday book haul.

Now, this is not exactly about my personal life, but I was finally accepted for a blog tour and I was so excited and happy and I hope I’ll get accepted in more of them. If you want to check my stop for the blog tour, I’ll leave the link here. And I also got approved for an eARC on NetGalley, I’ll leave the link for my book review in the next section!

That’s pretty much all the fun and interesting thing in my life for October, now let’s get to the books I read! I got into a bit of a romance mood so the majority of the books I read were romance!

Only a Breath Apart by Kate McGarry

This one was a little bit more of a contemporary romance and I don’t think I was exactly in the mood for that genre so I didn’t enjoy it as much. This was not an easy read since it talks a lot about grief and family abuse so yeah, not the perfect read for my mood back then.

The Chase (Briar U #1) by Elle Kennedy

This was kind of cute, the romance between Fitz and Summer was entertaining but it wasn’t great. They went through a lot that could have been avoided if only they talked to each other but in the end I was rooting for them and I want a Fitz in my life.

Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard #1) by Christina Lauren

I’ve heard a lot about this book but for some reason I didn’t read it when it was so popular but I did now and it was fun. It is no way the best book out there, but it was fun and it was what I needed back then. Also, I think this is Christina Lauren’s debut novel so it is not perfect but it was entertaining.

Disenchanted by Brianna Sugalski

This is the book I read for the blog tour and I liked it. It was slow at the beginning and nothing interesting was happening, but once the action starts, it was hard to stop reading. I can’t wait for book two. If you love vampires and fantastic creatures, this is a good book for you! Again, here‘s the link for the post I did for the blog tour, in case you want to check it out!

The Player Next Door by K.A. Tucker

This was the first book I read by this author and I liked it. I liked the romance and I thought I wasn’t a big fan of the single-dad trope but apparently I can enjoy it so if you like it too, then give this one a try. Also, we get hot firefighters and who doesn’t like hot firemen lol

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

I have no other words than READ. THIS. BOOK. RIGHT. NOW! It was so so good! I posted my book review for this one so here‘s the link! I buddy read it with a friend and it was so fun and you really need to read it because wow, amazing!

Okay, that is all for October. It was a good month overall, let’s hope November is great too! I hope October was good to you and remember to wear a mask and wash your hands!

Until the next post!

Happy reading 💙
