As expected I suck at sticking to a TBR but it is fun seeing how I fail miserably at trying lol. Anyway, here’s another post about the books I’m going to try to read in April. I’m going to be playing Becca’s Bookopoly once again, however, I’m adding to this list a book I really want to read very soon and hopefully I’ll get to it in April. So I’m going to roll the dice three times plus the book I just mentioned, and that’ll be four books for this month.
Before I start playing, the last time I landed on Fire on Cover so I’m going to continue right where I left off. If you want to know of the first time I played this, you can read it here. Okay, now let’s get started!
- First roll
The first roll was 6 so I landed on “Set in the present”. I’m interpreting this as kind of like a contemporary so I’m choosing The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. Honestly, just by reading the synopsis I want to cry so I know this will hurt, but I’ve been meaning to read this book for so long and this might be the time I finally do.
- Second roll
This second roll was 7 so I landed on “Highest rated” which means I have to read the highest rated book on my Goodreads TBR. Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko is that book. I’m actually excited to read this one since I’ve seen a couple of people on Twitter highly recommending this book.
- Third roll
For the third and final roll I got 6 (again) and landed on “Translated”. I had a hard time picking a book because the ones I could think about were classics and I am not in the mood for them, instead I chose a book that was written in Spanish (my mother tongue) and got translated to English, The Lord of the Sabbath by Mariana Palova. I’m cheating here but I didn’t know what other book to pick for this one, and besides, I’ve been wanting to read this book for years!
- The book I really want to read soon
And last but not least, the last book in my TBR for April. Lately I’ve been in the mood for some Middle Grade books and I’ve seen people mention this one. I’m talking about The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend, this is the first book in the Nevermoor series. I have no idea what the book is about and I have no expectations, I just want to have a good time while reading it.
I’m actually happy with this list of books, although I felt the same way back in February when I started this and it didn’t go as I wanted lol. But I’m going to be positive that this month is going to be different so I’m looking forward to it!
In the comments tell me which books are you planning on reading in April. Or if you have read any of these books, let me know what you thought about it!
Until the next post!
Happy reading 💙
