The majority of the book community is doing the mid-year freak out tag, which I love but I wanted to do something else. I wanted to feel unique and special lol.
Anyway, I love journaling. I have tried to keep a bullet journal for my personal life and be organized but I failed at it. Then I came across videos about reading journals and I was like yeah, this is something I am sure I won’t fail at. I was right.
However there are times I don’t update my reading journal like I should, but I try to. This is the third year I’ve been journaling and I enjoy it a lot. I like writing on paper and having as many records as I can on a notebook.
So at the beginning of this year I showed you my reading journal for 2021, which I recommend you check out since I won’t be giving too many details in this post about my reading journal.
With nothing else to say, let’s get to my mid-year reading journal update!
This is how my reading challenge is going. I am actually like 6 books behind schedule according to Goodreads so yay for me lol. I like how the rainbow is coming along tho.
I like how this is looking, however, I still suck at reading new releases. And as you can see, I have no books yet for November nor December so if you know of books coming out in those months, leave them in the comments below. And if you have any other new release you think I should keep in my radar for the second half of the year, let me know as well.
My rainbow bookshelves are slowly coming along. We’re halfway through the year and I just filled the top shelf. There will be a lot of blank books by the end of the year, but I don’t mind that.
I wanted to wait for the unboxings of FairyLoot and Illumicrate so I could have the first half complete but if I kept pushing this post back, I was sure I wasn’t going to post it. Sadly BaeCrate is closing and their last box was the April one so I won’t have that page full.
My 2021 TBRs are not going as planned lol I still have like 5 months to try to catch up and read as much as I can. Wish me luck haha!
You know, I thought this was enough space for book recs but now I realize how dumb I was. But I have read a few books from here so not so bad after all.
And these are my monthly theme spreads. If you want to see a bit more, make sure to check out my Instagram, I have a highlight dedicated to my reading journal.
This was a bit of a long post which I hope you enjoyed. I love my reading journal even when I know it is far from perfect. If you have any questions or comments, make sure to leave them below!
Until the next post!
Happy reading 💙
